Healthy Chocolate Frosty

Have you ever had a Wendy's Frosty?

I've never been a huge fast food person. However, I vividly remember the first time I had a Frosty. Age 8, on a hot summer day and a Wendy's opened up in our town. My mom decided to splurge and take us through the drive thru for a small treat. I'd had my fair share of ice cream, but this was different. Light, creamy, airy, and so delicious!

The beauty of being an adult is that I could go and get a Frosty whenever my little heart desires. OR... I could make a healthier version in my kitchen instead! Which is what I do now. This Healthy Chocolate Frosty hits the spot when I'm craving something sweet or for post workout refuel. The sweet potatoes help to give it an extra creamy texture while also adding in a good complex carb source.

Healthy Chocolate Frosty

Ingredients

1/2 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen sweet potato (can use canned and freeze in ice cube molds, cook then freeze or buy frozen cubes)

1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I use Momsanity Dutch Cocoa)

2 Tbsp. Cocoa Powder

2 tsp. sunflower seed butter

1 cup non-dairy milk

1 cup ice

Directions

Using a high speed blender and wand, blend on high pausing to scrape down sides until thick and creamy. Enjoy!
