Is Your Liver Overloaded? Here’s What You Can Do About It

Let’s be honest,  most of us don’t spend much time thinking about our liver. But this silent hero works 24/7 to filter toxins, balance hormones, support digestion, and keep your metabolism humming.

The problem?
We’re exposed to more toxins than ever before, and our livers are struggling to keep up.

Just think about the daily load your body is dealing with:

๐Ÿšฐ Tap water

๐ŸŸ Processed foods

๐Ÿท Alcohol

๐ŸŒซ๏ธ Air pollution

๐Ÿญ Excess sugar

๐Ÿฅฌ Non-organic produce

๐Ÿ’„ Conventional skin care & makeup

๐Ÿ˜ฉ Chronic stress

These exposures add up quickly, and when your liver becomes overwhelmed, it can trigger a cascade of frustrating symptoms like:

โœ”๏ธ Fatigue
โœ”๏ธ Brain fog
โœ”๏ธ Skin issues
โœ”๏ธ Stubborn belly fat
โœ”๏ธ Hormone imbalances

Sound familiar?

I Thought I Was Doing Everything Right…
I used to think eating clean, exercising, and getting good sleep was enough. But despite all my efforts, I still felt off. My energy was low, my skin was acting up, and no matter what I tried, I couldn’t shake the bloating or brain fog.

That’s when I realized:
๐Ÿ‘‰ My liver was asking for help.

How I Support My Liver (and You Can Too!)
Over time, I created a routine that helps reduce toxic load and support my body’s natural detox systems. Here's what works for me:

๐ŸŒฟ Reduce Toxin Exposure
I swapped conventional products for non-toxic skincare and cleaning supplies, chose organic produce when possible, and prioritized grass-fed, pasture-raised meats.

๐Ÿ’ง Drink Clean Water
We installed a reverse osmosis filter (I love Aqua Tru — feel free to DM me for a link!) to avoid chlorine, fluoride, and other chemicals commonly found in tap water.

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Breathe Clean Air
While I can’t control outdoor air quality, I can improve our indoor environment. We use Air Doctor filters throughout the house to reduce allergens, mold, and toxins.

๐Ÿงน Dry Brushing
I aim to dry brush 3–4 times a week. It’s an easy way to stimulate the lymphatic system and support detox through the skin,  one of your body’s largest detox organs.

๐Ÿ’Š Supplement Smart
Through functional lab testing, I discovered exactly what my body needed — no more guessing or spending money on the wrong supplements.

๐Ÿงผ Quarterly Functional Medicine Detoxes
These are my secret weapon. Every few months, I do a 7- or 21-day detox to reset my system. I’m currently mid-detox, and already feeling clearer, lighter, and more energized.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Sweat it Out
Whether it’s a workout or a sauna session, sweating is one of the best ways to flush toxins.

๐Ÿฅฆ Eat Detox-Supportive Foods
I make sure to load up on leafy greens, cruciferous veggies (like broccoli and cauliflower), herbs, and antioxidant-rich foods to support natural detox pathways every day.

Your Liver Loves You, Love It Back ๐Ÿ’›
Your liver works hard for you. Supporting it isn’t about extremes — it’s about small, consistent steps that reduce toxic load and help your body thrive.

If you’re feeling tired, bloated, foggy, or stuck, your liver may be asking for help too.
